Spring Fever

Spring Fever

I'm sure I speak for everyone living in Portland when I say that we are READY for spring (and summer) to be here already. Don't get me wrong, I love fall and winter and all the fun outfit layering that comes with it. It has been weeks now of nonstop rain and this Southern California native needs her sunshine!! The other day we had one of the most beautiful days Portland has seen in weeks and it felt like the whole city took the day off to enjoy it!!

Now, with spring upon us, comes a whole new take on getting ready in the morning. I am putting away my massive sweaters and coats and exchanging them for lighter layers and pieces that can be interchangeable. My main focus this season is to streamline my wardrobe into pieces that I absolutely MUST have and that work with multiple items I already own. I recently just sold probably half my closet to start with a clean slate. Since then I've added a few "must have" items to my closet.

These Levi's wedgie jeans are apparently the "it" jean this season as I have seen them everywhere! I can now see why after purchasing my own pair because they look good on every body type ( and I may or may not be purchasing these in 2 other washes). I swear it's like the sisterhood of the traveling pants with these guys! I've also scored this Apiece Apart top from Crossroads Trading Co. It's a great structured, neutral everyday piece that can work with a lot, and even though this brand is a little spendy, the pieces they create are truly stunning. Next, I added a new hat to my collection. Obviously, I had to hit up Free People because their hat game is alway on point and I've been on the hunt for a good cream colored one. I paired my new finds with one of my favorite leather jackets (another find from Crossroads), Madewell ankle booties and some minimal jewels I recently found at Anthropologie & Moorea Seal

This whole look is becoming my go to for this season and I think it should be yours too!

Cheers,

Liz
