This January I headed up north to visit my boyfriend in Seattle, Washington for a few days. I cherish the time I spend up there and fall more in love with the Pacific Northwest each time I visit. While we try to spend time relaxing at home being lazy, the majority of my visits entail day long road trips to the mountains. We decided to spend a day exploring the Olympic Peninsula and a second day along the Oregon Coast, which I will share in a separate post.
The weather on the peninsula was absolutely perfect. Light rain, chilly temperature, consistently foggy and while the sun peeked out for a few minutes, it was still one of my favorite days I've spent here. We took the ferry over to Kingston and made a stop at Crescent Lake, explored random side roads, then made our way up to Hurricane Ridge were we encountered snow covered mountain sides. It even started snowing shortly after we arrived. Being from Southern California, I don't see much snow, so when given the opportunity, it's time to play!
Like I said, this day was by far one of my favorite trips. I was able to take a brake from normal, daily life with my favorite person, get creative and visit some absolutely beautiful places. Some of these photos were taken on my phone, some from my camera. Anyway, hope you enjoy the images I was able to capture from this wonderful trip!!
